About Meredith

Interviewing the 2007 to 2011 Mayor of Dallas, Tom Leppert, at the 2010 Republican Watch Party.

Who would have thought that a girl from the Northeast would end up going to college in Texas? And more importantly…liking it?

I wanted to experience a different part of the country and decided to venture to Texas, something everyone back at home, including my Northfield Mount Hermon college counselor, thought was a bad idea. Well, I proved them wrong. I loved my experiences at Southern Methodist University.

In May, I graduated with a B.A. in Convergence Journalism and a B.A. in Advertising.

At SMU I was involved and loved to stay busy. Spring of my senior year I was co-news director for SMU-TV, breaking news intern for The Dallas Morning News and secretary of Si PUEDES, a mentoring organization that tutors first-generation college bound middle schoolers. During my time at SMU, I was also an active member of the Panhellenic community, serving all eight of the Panhellenic chapters and my sorority, Delta Delta Delta.

My past jobs have included news editor and associate news editor for The Daily Campus, vice president of membership for all SMU Panhellenic Sororities, intern at DIPLOMAT Magazine and vice president of membership and vice president of alumni relations of Alpha Kappa Psi.

After graduating, I worked at a private country club to save up for a move I’ve been dreaming of since the fifth grade. A move to New York City. After seven months of work, work, working, I’ve moved!
